Hailed by Rolling Stones as “the most effervescent and soulful girl group anyone has seen since the Supremes,” five-time Grammy Award winning supergroup TLC has seen phenomenal fame and success. But backstage, Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins has lived a dual life. In addition to the balancing act of juggling an all-consuming music career and her family, Tionne has struggled with sickle-cell anemia since she was a young girl―a debilitating and incurable disease that can render her unable to perform, walk, or even breathe.
A Sick Life chronicles Tionne’s journey from a childhood spent in and out of the hospital in Des Moines, Iowa, and was told she wouldn’t live to see 30 to the superstar musician who is still living out her life’s dream of performing. For the first time, Tionne will tell her full life story―the diagnosis, the tumultuous rise to fame, the life in the spotlight, and the hard-fought advocacy work.
Through Tionne’s tough, funny, tell-it-like-it-is voice, you’ll see how the extraordinary singer and advocate found the inner strength, grit, and determination to live her dream―despite her often unpredictable and demanding health issues. She dives deep into never-before-told TLC stories, including accounts of her friendship with Lisa “Left-Eye” Lopes and the tragedy of her death.
Tionne’s unvarnished discussion of her disease, unending strength, and ability to power through the odds is a story like no other.

T-Boz returned to her weekly MyBlock Radio show tonight, and spoke about the new TLC album, her upcoming book, “A Sick Life“, and she revealed not only that TLC are preparing a new tour very soon, but that her daughter Chase Rolison will be her make-up artist whilst she’s on the road!
T-Boz mentioned “Hey Muthafucka” is about moving on from a relationship and showing how she has moved on and can do better! One of many new songs we have to look forward to along with the tracks we’ve heard so far like “Sunny”, “No Introduction”, “Haters” and “JoyRide“.
Her upcoming book, “A Sick Life”, which is scheduled for a worldwide release on September 12, 2017 will also be available as an audio CD with original music like her first book, “Thoughts“, and pre-orders will be made available, which may come with something special, so make sure you all pre-order once the option becomes available!

As we previously reported in January, TLC were rumored to be added to the successful I Love The 90s tour along with a number of other top selling 90s acts.
The girls have now been announced to perform with the tour on Sunday Sept 3, 2017 at 7PM, along with hip-hop legends Kid-N-Play, R&B hitmaker Montell Jordan, dance legends C&C Music Factory, Snap and Rob Base!

The show will take place at the Wolf Trap Filene Center in Vienna, VA.
