TLC Perform Hits Mashup with Nelly & Flo Rida on GMA

TLC said ‘Good Morning America‘ in style, as they gave the morning television show the ultimate dose of girl power, performing a fresh medley of their greatest hits!

T-Boz and Chilli took to the stage and performed a remix of their best-selling hits “No Scrubs” and “Waterfalls“, before their tour partners Nelly and Flo Rida followed shortly to perform a medley of their greatest hits.

The trio of musicians rejoined the stage together at the end to get “Low” to Flo Rida’s debut hit!

The superstars also took some time out for a Facebook Live interview for GMA in the shows green room.

“We talk about relatable issues that everybody can relate to, no matter what age you are”, T-Boz says about why their legacy stood the test of time.

T-Boz also offers some advice for up and coming musicians in the industry. “Be true to yourself. Respect yourself, and don’t compromise your integrity, morals or character for nothing or nobody”.

“That sounds like life, for me!”, Nelly exclaims. “It works”. Chilli adds, “And that’s a hard thing not to do. Don’t get lost in it”.

Nelly touched on what made him a fan of TLC. “TLC is ground breaking, not just for women, but for music in general. They were one of the first groups to take full control of who they are., and not be afraid to be aggressive and say, ‘no, this is how it’s going to be'”.

Their ‘HitMakers’ tour kicks off across North America this summer on July 23 in Tuscaloosa, AL and concludes on August 31 in Irvine, CA. Tickets are still available at LiveNation.com so don’t miss out, it’s going to be special!

Hitmakers TLC, Nelly and Flo Rida are ready to hit the stage together this summer with their throwback tracks!

Ahead of their cross-country summer tour, the hit-making artists made some confessions in a PEOPLE exclusive clip of Live Nation’s concert confessions.

“He gave me the inspiration to add some melody to my style,” says Flo Rida, 39, about Nelly’s influence on his own music.

“He has a cute little grilled cheese,” says Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas about the “Ride Wit Me” singer.

In the video, Nelly, 44, gushes about the TLC girls, saying their music was about “being an assertive woman, knowing what you want.”

“I don’t know a guy at that time that wasn’t in love with TLC,” Nelly adds about the group, originally comprised of T-Boz, 49, Chilli, 48, and the late Left Eye. “They were strong, independent and they sounded dope.”

“They can just take off their shirt and—,” Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins says before imitating a yell. “Everybody goes crazy,” Chilli adds.

“We gotta be up there sweating and dancing across the stage and doing almost the hammer dance, everything,” T-Boz laughs.

Nelly had some of his own confessions to make. Though his journey to fame accelerated after the release of his album Country Grammar, he says he had to beg his label to let the album’s namesake be his first-ever single.

For TLC, the girls hope to leave a lasting legacy — 25 years after they dropped album Crazysexycool.

“I would like for us to be remembered for saving lives or making a difference,” says T-Boz. “Even songs like ‘No Scrubs,’ we bring it across in a way that’s not preachy but you get a deep message through it all.”

Tickets for TLC, Flo Rida and Nelly’s “energetic” summer tour are on sale now. The tour kicks off on July 23.

The legendary Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins will be returning to our television screens in July!

The TLC legend will be featured in WE TV‘s ‘Power, Influence & Hip Hop: The Remarkable Rise of So So Def‘ on July 18, documenting the importance of Atlanta’s very own Jermaine Dupri!

The one-hour special will feature never-before-seen archival footage as well as original interviews with Mariah Carey, Usher, Snoop Dogg, will.i.am, Da Brat, Bow Wow, Nelly and of course, T-Boz!

Dupri played a huge part in the rise of TLC from the very beginning — JD was the one who was responsible for encouraging T-Boz to sing in her lower, scratchy vocal tone that we all know and love her for!

He also helped launch the careers of Kris Kross, Bow Wow, Da Brat and Xscape. The Songwriters Hall Of Famer also crafted classic records with Mariah Carey, Jay-Z, Usher, Ludacris, to name but a few.

The trailer captures the eclectic, genre-blending nature of So So Def in an amazing moment where Dupri and Mariah Carey share a glass of red wine and the former quips, “She’s a rapper,” and latter responds, “He’s a diva.”

‘Power, Influence and Hip Hop will premiere June 23rd at SeriesFest in Denver, Colorado before arriving on We TV in July.
