Days Of Our Lives actress and TLC superstar Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins is once again set to depart Salem as the sassy and outspoken ex-con, Sheila Watkins.
The sad news comes just as her character is finally finding her feet in town and has developed feelings for Mayor Abe Carver (James Reynolds).
This week, she and mayoral candidate Abe get a little frisky, but Abe’s snakey opponent Jack (Matthew Ashford) catches them in the act, and decides to use his findings to smear Abe’s reputation.
It’s for this reason that the good-hearted Sheila took it on the chin and decides to save Abe’s skin and voluntarily quits her position as his assistant and leaves Salem to give his career a better chance at surviving the scandal.

Sheila has come a long way since her arrival on the show back in 2016, when she first appeared as a bad girl prisoner who gave Hope (Kristian Alfonso) hell when they were in jail together. Sheila wasn’t keen on having a cop as a roomie and gave Hope a couple of beat downs!
She returned to our screens in 2017 to assist Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) in a doppelganger plotline, assisting her convict buddy in maintaining a false life living as Adrienne Kiriakis in her mansion. Sheila posed as a laidback maid until the truth was exposed and they both fled town.

Sheila then returned in 2018, once again assisting Bonnie in another crooked scheme, bringing in Bonnie’s baby granddaughter as her own to blackmail Lucas.
In the meantime, Sheila rekindled her friendship with Eli (Lamon Archey) and eventually landed herself a job with the Mayor, thanks to Abe’s daughter Lani (Sal Stowers) who just wanted Sheila to get a job, after feeling jealous of her spending so much time with Eli.

Sheila has come and gone many times, so her departure may only be temporary. There’s no word on what the future holds for Sheila yet, but it’s nice to see that the door is being kept open for a possible return in the future.

T-Boz has always been open about her wishes to continue with her role as Sheila Watkins for the long-term in the hit television soap, and fans love her comical and witty personality, which brings a breath of fresh air to the show, so it would only make sense to bring Sheila back one day.
However, fans needn’t worry about losing their regular fix of Watkins on TV, as she has been confirmed to star in the hit WEtv series Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta which starts during the summer of 2019.

You can’t leave DOOL.. I have watched the show for 44 years and your character has brought such a freshness and comedic presence that the show has not had for awhile. Please reconsider!! I have looked forward to the connection between you and James Reynolds.
