Chris Brown Channels TLC Moves In TikTok Dance Challenge For Latest Single

One hazy summer night, Chris Brown dropped a bombshell on TikTok—his brand new single, “Holy Blindfold”. The title alone had fans buzzing, but no one expected what came next.

Instead of debuting the usual explosive backflips or rapid-fire footwork that fans had come to expect from Breezy, his challenge video opened with a smooth slide to the left…

And not just that. As the beat of “Holy Blindfold” pulsed into its first verse, Chris folded in the unmistakable “Waterfalls” ripple arm wave, gliding forward in slow motion like T-Boz herself, delivering swag with a message.

The camera panned out to reveal backup dancers dressed in ’90s-inspired denim, moving in perfect sync, fusing classic TLC choreography with Chris’s modern edge. Props to his choreographer Josh Smith.

Fans. Lost. Their. Minds.

TikTok lit up. Hashtags like #HolyBlindfoldChallenge and #DontGoChasinChrisBrown trended overnight.

Side-by-sides began popping up of TLC’s 90s performance with Chris’s slick remix choreography. T-Boz, a huge self-confessed Chris Brown fan, herself reposted the clip with the caption: “You KNOW my day is Made! Cuz U Know I Love HE…”.

But this wasn’t just a dance—it was a homage.

In a behind-the-scenes snippet, Chris was even heard singing along to “Waterfalls” while performing the choreography.

The TikTok challenge exploded worldwide, with dancers from Atlanta to Accra flipping their hoodies, mimicking the “Creep” hip swivel, and sliding into those “Waterfalls” hand waves with Chris’s lyrics layered on top. Even Gen Z—who were babies when “No Scrubs” ruled the charts—got schooled on some true ‘90s moves.

“Holy Blindfold” was released on June 13, and is sure to make a big debut on the Billboard Hot 100, but the viral challenge was the true chart-topper.

T-Boz previously collaborated with Chris Brown in 2016 on Zendaya‘s song “Something New, which sampled TLC’s “Creep”. T-Boz also appeared in the song’s music video, which was never officially released.

In a digital age full of flash trends, Chris Brown reached into R&B history and showed the world that iconic choreography never goes out of style—it just gets remixed.

Moral of the story:
You can teach an old dance new tricks—but you better do it with love, rhythm, and a whole lotta TLC. 💫

T-Boz Moves to Tennessee and Plans To Work On Country Pop Songwriting and Movie Scripts Plus TLC Musical Update

The ‘T’ of TLC superstar Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins recently sat down for a chat with xoNecole‘s London Alexaundria in January along with Tionne’s daughter Chase Rolison, to shed light on how they wanted to support the tragic wildfires in LA.

Chase recently launched her own Y2K-inspired vintage store, ‘Anela’s Vintage‘, an online vintage fashion boutique. The proceeds will benefit the LA Fire Department, which has been working tirelessly to put out the wildfires ravaging the city.

As well as becoming a fashion and beauty entrepreneur, Chase is also the official makeup artist for TLC, which is a perfect match for the ladies, as Chase knows their beauty needs so well.

“Chase is our makeup artist, for me and Chilli“, T-Boz explains. “Chilli is one of the most pickiest people on this planet! She makes all of our makeup artists feel bad. But she doesn’t do that to Chase. So, when she asked if Chase could be our makeup artist, I was [amazed]. Chase is the perfect person to do this”.

T-Boz launches Chase’s Closet (2005)

The multi-platinum artist reveals she recently moved to Tennessee and is looking forward to writing with country artists. “I want to start working with some country artists, because I’m good at writing pop and country pop. I want to beef up my catalog”.

T-Boz is grateful to finally own her own masters and reveals that companies are eager to get a chance to buy them. “The people are approaching me to sell my music, because I own my own masters and publishing. It took Lord knows how long to get to that point, but I’m here God, I’m here!”

She also wants to get into producing films and has been writing movie scripts, which she firstly did in 2005 with T.I. on the movie ‘ATL’. “I’m into writing movie scripts, so I want to start producing movies, because that’s all I do — watch movies”, T-Boz exclaims.

“I don’t believe in doing something that I’m not good at, but I know I’m good at that”, T-Boz states proudly. “My scripts are — they are some good scripts, I know they are! I have some people interested right now, so look out for me behind the cameras”.

As for the upcoming TLC musical, ‘CrazySexyCool: The TLC Musical‘, T-Boz explains that it will be something different to the previously told stories about TLC’s history. “It’s not going to be typical, like behind the music and all that. It’ll be more like the strength and triumph of three females and probably through the eye lens of the lyrics of our songs, if that makes sense,” T-Boz said.

“So I think it’ll be done differently. It’s time consuming. This is the third year we’ve been working on it, but it actually will hit Broadway next year, and I’m nervous about that. Like, she gets nervous. I get nervous.”

What do you think about T-Boz’s move to Tennessee? Are you looking forward to some T-Boz country pop? T-Boz movie? And the TLC musical?

DJ Pessto Hired to Officially Remix TLC’s ‘Creep’ for 30th Anniversary of ‘CrazySexyCool’

TLC‘s iconic sophomore album, ‘CrazySexyCool‘, celebrates the 30th anniversary since its release on November 14th, 1994!

The first single released from the album, “Creep“, was released on October 31st, 1994 and became their first ever number one single on the Billboard Hot 100.

To celebrate its milestone this year, Sony Music and its legacy department Legacy Recordings have recruited the services of superstar DJ Pessto to work his magic on a remix of “Creep”!

Predrag Stojkov, or better known as Pessto is a young Serbian DJ, record producer and songwriter on a mission to bring his passion for electronic dance music to the world’s biggest stages. Over the last couple of years, the 24-year old has been busy in the studio, preparing the storm of new songs that’s about to take over the global music scene.

A new chapter began in 2022 with his massive debut on legendary Ministry Of Sound Records (Sony Music), joining the record label’s exciting roster which includes stellar names like: Doja Cat, Riton, Sigala, Oliver Heldens, Disciples and more.

Pessto teamed up with the dance music titan Paul Woolford in 2022 on “Can You Pay?“, a highly anticipated electronic working of the iconic 90s R&B classic ‘Bills, Bills, Bills’ by Destiny’s Child.

Pessto’s most recent release was in May to assist Jennifer Lopez with a spectacular remix of her hit, “Waiting For Tonight“, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her debut album, ‘On The 6‘.

Pessto took to his social media to announce his TLC remix on November 4th. “You can’t think about the ‘90s without thinking of TLC”, Pesso said. “The legendary trio made history as the best-selling female group of all time, delivering countless hits and shaping the future of R&B”.

“I’m beyond thrilled to share that I had the honor of working on an official remix for their Grammy-winning classic, “Creep”!”, Pessto continued. “Dropping this Friday on Arista/ LaFace Records!”

The Pessto “Creep” remix will be released on Friday 8th November, 2024 on all streaming platforms.
