So the rumors were true, TionneT-Boz” Watkins did indeed return to her role as Sheila Watkins on the hit NBC soap Days Of Our Lives! We teased her return back in November 2019, which left fans of her character excited to have her back in Salem.

On this return, Sheila has a major announcement to make — she had a baby in her time away from Salem, and needs help to find the baby, which has been kidnapped. She needs her baby daddy to give her that help — so turns up at the door of Eli Grant (Lamon Archey)!

Eli is shocked to see Sheila back in town, and even more shocked to learn that she is claiming he is the father to her baby daughter. Lani Price (Sal Stowers) is also shocked, before Eli admits that it is a possibility as he had a one night stand with Sheila before she left town.

Episode # 13820

Eli makes some calls to his friends at the FBI and learns about a baby smuggling ring in Salem, which his new baby could have been a victim of. Meanwhile, we learn that Leo has arranged to have the baby snatched and attempts to sell her to Sonny Kiriakis (Freddie Smith) and Will Horton (Chandler Massey). Ben Weston (Robert Scott Wilson) appears at the Kiriakis mansion with a little baby girl of color. He didn’t know the package would be a baby.

Sheila bursts into the room with Eli to rescue her baby and confront Leo for his actions. “Man, I can’t believe your bitch ass is behind this. And I thought the two of us were tight”, Sheila screams. Leo claims he didn’t know this was Sheila’s baby. Sheila continues, “But the only reason you dragged me to drag queen bingo is so you could kidnap my baby. And I lost 40 bucks. Don’t ever come near us again.” She and Eli leave with their baby.

Episode # 13820

Sheila and Eli break the news to Lani to announce they wish to be together to allow their baby daughter to have both parents together.

Lani detects something isn’t right about Sheila’s story, insisting they carry out a paternity test. Sheila quickly admits she lied and is immediately greeted by her new husband, Dr. Daniel Jonas (Shawn Christian), the allegedly deceased son of Maggie Kiriakis. He claims that Sheila was pregnant before they met, leaving questions about who the father really was if it wasn’t Eli or Daniel.

They are then greeted by Lani’s father, Abe Carver (James Reynolds). Sheila quickly informs him that he indeed is the father to her child, and that he was conceived on her last day in Salem after his 2019 Mayoral Debate. “Come a say hi to your new daughter, Baby Sheila“, Sheila gushes. Abe is left speechless.

Episode # 13820

This all sounds too good to be true, right? Well, we fast forward to the final scene of the episode which aired on April 1st. Sonny walks in to find Leo in bed with his husband, which ends with Leo saying “April Fools!” to the camera!

That’s right, this unrealistic episode was a one off prank made for April Fools Day on April 1st. This also means that won’t be seeing Sheila return for a quite a while. However, stranger things have happened. Let’s hope she makes a genuine return to the show soon.

Days Of Our Lives actress and TLC superstar Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins is once again set to depart Salem as the sassy and outspoken ex-con, Sheila Watkins.

The sad news comes just as her character is finally finding her feet in town and has developed feelings for Mayor Abe Carver (James Reynolds).

This week, she and mayoral candidate Abe get a little frisky, but Abe’s snakey opponent Jack (Matthew Ashford) catches them in the act, and decides to use his findings to smear Abe’s reputation.

It’s for this reason that the good-hearted Sheila took it on the chin and decides to save Abe’s skin and voluntarily quits her position as his assistant and leaves Salem to give his career a better chance at surviving the scandal.

Sheila has come a long way since her arrival on the show back in 2016, when she first appeared as a bad girl prisoner who gave Hope (Kristian Alfonso) hell when they were in jail together. Sheila wasn’t keen on having a cop as a roomie and gave Hope a couple of beat downs!

She returned to our screens in 2017 to assist Bonnie Lockhart (Judi Evans) in a doppelganger plotline, assisting her convict buddy in maintaining a false life living as Adrienne Kiriakis in her mansion. Sheila posed as a laidback maid until the truth was exposed and they both fled town.

Sheila then returned in 2018, once again assisting Bonnie in another crooked scheme, bringing in Bonnie’s baby granddaughter as her own to blackmail Lucas.

In the meantime, Sheila rekindled her friendship with Eli (Lamon Archey) and eventually landed herself a job with the Mayor, thanks to Abe’s daughter Lani (Sal Stowers) who just wanted Sheila to get a job, after feeling jealous of her spending so much time with Eli.

Sheila has come and gone many times, so her departure may only be temporary. There’s no word on what the future holds for Sheila yet, but it’s nice to see that the door is being kept open for a possible return in the future.

T-Boz has always been open about her wishes to continue with her role as Sheila Watkins for the long-term in the hit television soap, and fans love her comical and witty personality, which brings a breath of fresh air to the show, so it would only make sense to bring Sheila back one day.

However, fans needn’t worry about losing their regular fix of Watkins on TV, as she has been confirmed to star in the hit WEtv series Growing Up Hip Hop: Atlanta which starts during the summer of 2019.

Eli Digs The Truth Between Sheila and Abe’s Friendship

Drama in Days of our Lives is a guarantee.

Following the last episode’s cliffhanger moment, when Abe Carver seemed to make an advance towards Sheila Watkins after thanking her for her continued support, the happy moment didn’t last for long!

Abe had second thoughts, realizing he would be crossing professional boundaries, and instead tried to throw the blame onto Sheila for making a move on him!

Just in the nick of time, Eli Grant and Lani Price turn up at the pub, witnessing the kiss that almost happened, and preventing the two from exploding into a bigger fight.

While Lani sits with Abe to explain why she is currently in possession of baby David, Eli goes to the bar with Sheila to find out the truth about her friendship with Abe.

Sheila insists that she and Abe are not friends, and tells Eli how Abe attacked her for giving him some suggestions for his campaign.

Despite this, Sheila is sure that she knows what Abe wants; a woman that will stand by his side, since his ex-girlfriend Valerie left him to pursue her career.

Will Sheila turn out to be the woman Abe needs in his life?

T-Boz as Sheila Catching Feelings For Mayor Carver in Days?

Love could be in the air in Salem this week!

Sheila Watkins listens to Abe Carver rant about Jack and Eve in the pub, thinking of Haley as some dangerous criminal. Abe is worried that Jack could win.

Abe thinks Jack is sharp and that he’ll twist his words. Sheila suggests Abe should fight back. Abe admits he compromised his integrity by allowing Ted to stay on as DA when he’s crooked.

Abe decided it was better than having a corrupt mayor. Sheila thinks Abe should bring up Jack being a rapist but Kayla’s his friend. He can’t, so Sheila suggests he play matchmaker with him and Jennifer.

Abe refuses, patronising Sheila and refers to her ideas as ‘colourful’. “So, I guess Law & Order Abe Carver doesn’t need advice from ex-con Sheila from the hood“, Sheila fumes, grabbing her bag and tries to leave.

Abe quickly jumps up to prevent Sheila from leaving the table, telling her how much he appreciates her support.

The pair share a moment gazing into each others eyes and move closer together.

Is this the sign of their friendship developing into something deeper?
